Mother of two
I have so many wonderful things to say about Stroller Strides that I don't know where to start!
I have always loved working out. I have been a gym/weight lifting junkie, a 1/2 marathon runner, a soccer player, a home workout enthusiast, and just about everything in between. Finding time to workout with 2 kiddos was becoming increasingly difficult and I was seriously missing my workout time! When I heard SS had come to Yuma I was skeptical that it would be a good workout with any hint of difficulty. But since my workout options were few, I decided to give it a try. I was SO WRONG. It is an awesome workout. I have committed to the workouts for the past year and have lost all of my baby weight and then some (22lbs!). I now fit into clothes I haven't worn since High School. AND I feel great.
Another reason I love SS is for the wonderful group of women I get to see every day. I have lived in Yuma for 6+ years and have never found a group of ladies that i "clicked" with or really felt comfortable with. I am a fairly shy person, but Kristina made me feel like I'd known her...more
I am unbelievably thankful that SS came to yuma. I love everything about it! It's been awesome for my daughter to have such regular, frequent social time with kids her age, I feel like I'm setting such a good healthy living example for her, and she learns a lot from our counting & singing. I've made awesome new friends that I look forward to seeing each morning to work out alongside. it's a seriously tough full-body workout that pushes me beyond what I'd push myself to do if I were not a part of this group. It kept me motivated, energized, fit, and strong through my 2nd pregnancy, throughout which I gained only a third what I gained in my first pregnancy and felt a hundred times healthier and am now having a much faster and happier recovery. All thanks to SS!more

Stroller Strides has been such an amazing group to be a part of! It has become such an important part of my life and the life of my little one. We have both made friends and both enjoy coming every day. It is very evident that lots of thought goes into planning the workouts, and all workouts are executed very well. The instructors make you sweat. No joke. The Mom Time after the workouts as the kids play adds something special to my day, if even to vent or ask for advice from other mom's who've "been there done that." Stroller Strides is amazing, the instructors are amazing, the other mom's and their children are amazing. I can honestly say that Stroller Strides of Yuma has changed my life!more
I would first like to thank Kristina for starting Stroller Strides in Yuma, AZ because even though I've lived here for many years and know many people once I had my baby it was really hard for me to find women with kids around my daughters age that I can relate too. I have met really nice ladies and my daughter has made her little friends in an awesome fitness environment.more
Hi My name is Lisa & I am happily married for 13yrs & we have #6 children #3 boys: ages are 21 yrs old, 9 yrs old, 7yrs old, & #3 girls : ages are 20yrs, 4yrs old, 3yrs old. They all still live at home.
I am a very active person I'm always on the go. I joined SS to loose weight & I love that you can bring your toddler with you. I enjoy working out with the group & I hope I can loose up to 15-20pounds. So far I have lost 7pounds since I joined SS!!! I also do Aqua Zumba once a week. My goal is to continue working out 2,-3 times a week. I'm so glad I joined this Awesome Group!! SS rocks :))more
Getting my sexy back! The weight loss and toned body are the result of SS.
The activities that keep us all engaged: class, crafts, lunches, outings, events, and special classes.
The mommas!! We all encourage and uplift each other not only with each exercise but within our livesmore
At first I was really skeptical about Stroller Strides. The reason being was that I never worked out a single day in my life, I didn't know anyone in or around the area and I didn't think I could function well with having my 2 month old (at that time) with me. First hearing about Stroller Strides all that came to mind was "Yeah, all these moms have probably worked out every single day of their life and all I will be doing is embarrassing myself. The first day I went it was actually really fun. I couldn't keep up with everyone but that's what I loved about it, that everyone can work at their own pace. They have an alternative way, which is way easier and the normal/advanced way. I just really enjoyed being out of the house When I came home that same day, I had this whole new side of me that was energized, motivated, feeling happy about myself and life, which was a feeling that I hadn't felt my entire pregnancy and postpartum.
It's so inspiring to see and know that there are other moms who are out there striving to lose weight, stay active and enjoy each others...more
On my way home from our practice run, I thought about one more reason why I love Stroller Strides of Yuma. Goal setting. I think when I first joined last May, I thought to myself 'ok, just go at least 3x a week' to help with keeping a schedule of working out. That turned into going very regularly from the start because I liked it so much. Today I've heard people set goals from running their first 5K to some actually planning a half marathon. This is all because of SS and the other moms. We push ourselves and motivate each other to do things most of us had never planned on doing. This truly is such a great group of tough mommas.more
Mommy of three!
1. The other mamas! There isn't a better group of ladies I'd want to share the daily joys of mommy-hood with.
2. The workouts! Oh my gosh, they are booty kicking, sweat inducing workouts every time!
3. The instructors, the only women I'll take yelling at me....haha j/k ;) You ladies rock and make working out a hobby not a chore!more
First time Mommy of a little girl!
Still very new to the classes but so far
1. The workouts are a true butt kicker to the point that I can't move the following day :)
2. So nice to meet other mums and get me out of the house and visiting people while the hubby isn't here
3. Getting to spend quality time with my little girl and seeing her laugh while I sing songs to hermore
